Account & Data Deletion

You have the right to delete your HisabKitab account and all your data permanently.

⚠️ This action is irreversible

Once your account is deleted, all your data — including transaction history, ledgers, and personal information — will be permanently erased and cannot be recovered.

How to Request Account Deletion

✅ Option A — Via the App (Recommended)

Open the HisabKitab app on your device.
Go to Settings (bottom navigation or profile icon).
Tap "Delete Account".
Confirm your choice when prompted.

Your account deletion will be processed immediately once confirmed in the app.

📧 Option B — Via Email Request

Send an email to us from your registered email address:

Subject: Account Deletion Request

Include your registered email address in the body for verification.

We will process your request within 7–14 business days and send a confirmation email once completed.

What Data Gets Deleted

Upon account deletion, the following data is permanently erased from our systems:

All Transaction Records (Credits & Debits)	✅ Yes — Permanently
Daily Expense Logs	✅ Yes — Permanently
Ledger History & Contact Names	✅ Yes — Permanently
Push Notification Tokens	✅ Yes — Permanently
Anonymized Crash Logs (technical)	🕐 Within 90 days

Deletion Timeline

In-app deletion: Immediate — account is deactivated right away.
Email request: Processed within 7–14 business days.
Backup purge: All backups cleared within 30 days.
Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been fully deleted.
